Question : How can you make tandoori chicken without a tandoor?
Answer : You can’t (nor can you make authentic nan bread).
Moral : Don’t believe anyone who tells you differently!
But you can make a highly acceptable alternative which, for want of a better description, I have called "not tandoori chicken". I suppose I should have called it "oven baked chicken" but no-one would have clue what I was talking about so "not tandoori chicken" it is. Oh, and my version of nan bread is called "pan fried nan" which is exactly how it's done.
