Chilli Fiesta - West Dean Gardens hold the National Chilli Collection and host a Chilli Fiesta every August. The event has over 100 chilli varieties on display as well as hot food stalls and chilli plants and paraphernalia for sale. A must to visit. |

International Indian Chef of the Year - this competition was founded by Edinburgh entrepreneur Tommy Miah in 1991. Entry into the competition is free and amateur cooks and professional chefs compete on equal terms. The only requirement is the ability to plan and produce a 4 course Indian meal. |
