tandoori mixed grill

curry miscellany

This page contains links to a right old "tandoori mixed grill" of websites all of which I would thoroughly recommend. There are local restaurant guides, odd bits of information, events to visit and curry fans' homepages. There's even a site dedicated to the Nargisi Kofta.
hotlink The Brighton and Hove Curry Guide - Shelley and Phil Guild's award winning guide to the curry restaurants of Brighton and Hove. The guide now includes take-aways as well. Recommended.
hotlink Manchester's Curry Mile - an in-depth guide to the famous "Curry Mile" in the Rusholme district of Manchester.
hotlink Bradford Curry Guide - a forum-based guide to the curry houses of Bradford.
hotlink Onion Bhaji - a curry lover's guide to the Northampton and Milton Keynes area including Wellingborough and Bedford.
hotlink CurryMonsters - detailed information about restaurants in Rotherham.
hotlink Curry County Council - the restaurant reviews of a group of friends who meet up once a month at curry houses in Surrey.
hotlink The Nargis Kebab Appreciation Site - only the British could obsess about a spicy version of Scotch Eggs. And why not? This site has been put together by a group of Nargis enthusiasts to share their passion for the starter of their dreams. Food of the gods.
hotlink Chana Dhal - all about chana dhal including advice for diabetics
hotlink Chilli Fiesta - West Dean Gardens hold the National Chilli Collection and host a Chilli Fiesta every August. The event has over 100 chilli varieties on display as well as hot food stalls and chilli plants and paraphernalia for sale. A must to visit.
hotlink International Indian Chef of the Year - this competition was founded by Edinburgh entrepreneur Tommy Miah in 1991. Entry into the competition is free and amateur cooks and professional chefs compete on equal terms. The only requirement is the ability to plan and produce a 4 course Indian meal.
hotlink The Curry Club & The Good Curry Guide - The famous Curry Club of Great Britain founded by Pat Chapman. Having previously sold the rights of the "Curry Club" name to G. Costa & Co. Pat now seems to have re-acquired them himself. This is Pat's personal website which also gives details about The Good Curry Guide which he edits.
