NEWSLETTER - LATEST EDITION - 22nd October 2007
A couple of bits of news for you.
We are just putting the final touches to The Curry House autumn recipe
which is ideal for Halloween or Bonfire Night (or any other time when
you're outside when it's cold and damp)
Our new seasonal recipe is Kheema Lobia which is spicy minced lamb with
black eyed beans.
Give the old Chili con Carne a rest this year and treat your party guests
to our rich warming curry instead. You can easily substitute minced beef
for the lamb if you prefer and the recipe caters for up to 12 people.
This free recipe will appear on The Curry House soon so keep a look out
for it.
If you fancy firing up the barbecue on 5th November despite the cold and
dark then our summer barbecue feature is still up on The Curry House and
contains advice on cooking and marinades as well as 6 of our favourite
recipes.
National Curry Week (21st - 27th October) is upon us once again.
It's always interesting to see what events restaurants dream up to raise
money for charity. This year all the money raised is going to Oxfam.
For instance, the Indian Ocean restaurant in Ashton-under-Lyne are
organising an attempt at the Guinness world record for the highest
poppadom tower.
Another restaurant, the Café Regal in Bradford, is organising the UK’s
first ever Bombay Mix eating competition. Competitors will attempt to eat
as much Bombay mix as they can in 60 seconds. Good luck to them!
You can check the National Curry Week website (see below) for more
information.
That's it for now.
All the best
David
